Recently, China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association issued the 2009 Top 500 Enterprises of China. The list is based on the internationally recognized standard --- revenues of the previous year. With its revenues standing at RMB154.5 billion, CITIC Group ranks 29th in the list, up from 38th of last year. It ranks 6th in the financial industry, after Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, China Life Insurance (Group) Company, Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China.
