On July 8, Fortune Magazine unveiled the list of Global 500 2010. Companies around the world were ranked by their revenues in 2009. CITIC Group got on the list again at the 254th, 161 places higher than its debut last year (as the 415th), making it one of the fastest growing companies in 2009. Its revenues stood at RMB209.1 billion (USD30.6 billion). Of all the Chinese financial companies on that list, CITIC held the 6th place, after Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, China Life Insurance Company, Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China.
