On August 20, 2010, CITIC Group successfully launched RMB4 billion worth of “2010 CITIC MTN2” in the interbank bond market thanks to the concerted efforts of its Finance Department, CITIC Securities Co., Ltd. (lead underwriter) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (co-lead underwriter).

The MTN matures in 10 years, with the interest rate at 4.4%. The issue is well received by the market, underwritten and invested by 14 financial institutions, including China Development Bank, ICBC, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China and China Construction Bank. The large-scale oversubscription has reflected investors’ full confidence in CITIC’s financial strength.
